Dear Roses and Lilies,
Your get your favorite cream eyeshadow out of your makeup bag and you remember that you forgot to wash your brushes and/or sponge applicators... Or you simply don't like to use brushes and sponges to apply your cream eyeshadow. You decide to use your fingers, but hello! you've got long fingernails getting in your way. What to do?
Here's some tips:
Sometimes, a spatula you normally use to pick up moisturizer from a pot can help. You can scoop up a small amount of cream eyeshadow, apply it to the back of your hand, then use your fingers to apply the eyeshadow to your eyelids. Problem: cream eyeshadow sets quickly, so you have to move fast and some product will go to waste in the process.
You don't have a spatula to work with? No problem! Most people have q-tips (cotton swabs) in their bathroom cabinets and makeup addicts should always have them handy for retouching their makeup.
All you need to do is take a q-tip, dip one end in the cream eyeshadow, then apply it directly to your eyelid. You can now blend the eyeshadow using your ring finger. Then dip the clean end of the q-tip in the eyeshadow and apply to the other eyelid, followed by quick blending.
So, no brushes, no sponge applicators to wash - just trow away the used q-tip and start your day. :-)
